Fast-cut media generally has a high abrasive content and a higher-than-average density, resulting in increased metal removal during the finishing process. Fast-cut media is used when a large amount of work is required, including instances such as:
- removal of heavy burrs or casting lines
- improvement of a very rough surface
- rounding sharp edges

DURAMEDIA® 40
DURAMEDIA® 40 is an extremely fast-cutting aluminum oxide-based ceramic media that provides a fine finish, with maximum metal removal in a minimal amount of time.
Applications
DURAMEDIA® 40 is used for all metals where fast stock removal is required. It can also be used for radiusing, deburring, and surface improvement.

DURAMEDIA® PWS
DURAMEDIA® PWS is a proprietary ceramic media with fused zirconia abrasive. The harder the alloy, the more it separates itself from standard products. It has a mild attrition rate for a media this aggressive. (105 lbs. /cubic foot, color: off-white)
Applications
DURAMEDIA® PWS is specially formulated for maximum cutting ability on exotic metals such as inconel, titanium and hardened chrome alloy products. It is used specifically for deburring on aerospace alloys.
DURAMEDIA 3DCM®
DURAMEDIA 3DCM® is a premium ceramic formula designed for the hard alloys common in additive manufacturing. (125 lbs. /cubic foot, color: dark brown)
Applications

DURAMEDIA® XC
DURAMEDIA® XC is an aluminum oxide based ceramic media containing a greater concentration of coarser grade aluminum oxide and is known for its fast cutting capability. (90 lbs. /cubic foot, color: olive green)
Applications
DURAMEDIA® XC is excellent for removal of heavy burrs, flash, or scale. It has good cutting ability for heat treated steels, teflon products, and nickel-bronze castings. A primary consideration for this formula would be applications for gear finishing.
DURAMEDIA® Plastic Low Density 30
DURAMEDIA® Plastic Low Density 30 (DPLD 30) is a fast cutting resin-bonded plastic media that provides a very bright low micro-inch finish. (75 lbs. /cubic foot, color: maroon)
Applications
DPLD eliminates two step operations where buffing or plating of parts is required.
DURAMEDIA® Plastic High Density 130
DURAMEDIA® Plastic High Density 130 (DPHD 130) is a fast cutting resin-bonded plastic media that provides a low matte finish. (88 lbs. /cubic foot, color: light blue)
Applications
DPHD 130 is used for deburring and surface metal removal on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It also reduces cycle times and gives a preplate finish.
DURAMEDIA® Plastic High Performance 230FC
DURAMEDIA® Plastic High Performance 230FC (DPHP 230FC) is an aggressive fast cutting resin-bonded plastic media for increased production with reduced cycle times. (77 lbs. /cubic foot, color: dark brown)
Applications
DPHP 230FC is ideal for removing machine lines and forming radius on hard metals.

DURAMEDIA® H

Applications
DURAMEDIA® H is an aggressive media known for quick metal removal and best applied where short cycle times are required. It is typically used in various vibratory applications.
DURALUM® XA
DURALUM® XA is the ideal tumbling nugget- dense, tough, and yet free-cutting. A true micro-crystalline fused aluminum oxide abrasive. Its solid structure, super-fine crystal size and carefully controlled chemistry make it strong and durable. (145 lbs. /cubic foot, color: gray/charcoal/black)

DURAMEDIA® Plastic Low Density 40
DURAMEDIA® Plastic Low Density 40 (DPLD 40) is a general purpose resin-bonded plastic media for all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is fast cutting and provides a smooth matte finish. (68 lbs. /cubic foot, color: dark green)
Applications
DPLD is ideal for removing burrs, flash, and die marks and blending parting lines easily.
